Chester, it is total crap your wife had to wait. That is a mismanaged hospital. What hospitals are supposed to do when they have a wait like that is bring staff down from other departments. And if they run out of room in ER, they should be taking people to other department rooms. This is what good hospitals do.

*Secure the border
*Force documentation on current illegals, give them an opportunity to file for citizenship through the normal means, which means getting in line.
*Offer worker visa programs that fill unmet needs employment areas, like farming. (By the way, Calif. farmers have chosen to not plant as many fields because they can't find the labor to harvest).
*Severly penalize employers who willingly hire illegals.
*Improve documentation checking system so employers who check can find out.
*Properly fund the government agencies in charge instead of gutting them in attempt to justify private contractors to do the job. (This is Bush and GOP in action baby, ala Blackwater, Haliburton, etc. Try to replace normal government functions with private contractors).

The thing about illegals is that they come here illegally because they KNOW they would get sent back otherwise. They avoid paying taxes as well when they come here illegally. Sometimes they play our laws and come here to have their children on American soil, so those kids are American citizens and cant be deported.

I like the idea of a border wall; it would patch areas that border patrol cant control. Think of the border as an extremely leaky cup; you tape up most of it with your border wall ductape, and the rest you hold in with your border patrol fingers.

The idea of the border wall is awesomely retarded, and I would have no problem driving a pick-up truck to pull the whole damn thing down. A wall would not work, and be a horrible waste of money that could otherwise go into the production of technology for our border patrol agents, and help actually secure more agents. Do you want to know who agrees with me that the wall doesn't work? The border patrol agents...

No wall in the history of the world has proved successful, outside of the Berlin Wall. I for one will not see this country degrade itself in such an amazingly stupid and fairly bigotted way.

The funny (sad) thing is, many of our border patrol agents are getting shipped to Iraq to train thier people for patrolling their border...
